Description
Commissioned by the Tennessee State Museum to honor Abraham, a slave who lived at Greenfield Station in Sumner County, Tennessee during the late 1700s. He was furnished a firearm and hunted for the fort. He prevented an attack on Greenfield in the 1790s by confronting a party of Cherokees who was on their way to attack Greenfield – and killed Mad Dog, the leader of the party. The attack was called off.
